Online from 25 July gspf.com.au

We are delighted to present our much anticipated GSPF 2021 program and curatorial vision from Jacob Tolo.  Originally due to be presented in 2020 we are pushing forward in 2021. In response to the Victorian Government's announcements regarding Melbourne's extended lockdown, GSPF 2021 will now be delivered as an online festival from 25 July.

THE DETAILS

Over 27 artists will present their work in shopfronts, facades and laneways along Gertrude St, Fitzroy.

GSPF 2021 curatorial rationale is the vision of Jacob Tolo and hits fast forward to 500 years from here, asking artists for speculative visions far beyond the now and considers the importance of constructs such as colour, race, gender, sexuality, age, ability, class and nationality. People and our environments are the impetus for project responses. How are they manifested in your future? What have you managed to take with you and what have you left behind in this new utopia? Or has it all gone to hell and you want to warn us all of Skynet!?

Artists include J. Rosenbaum, Jen Valender, Alice Duncan, Rory Daniel, Billy Raffin, Tom Blachford, Jonathan Homsey, Jay Tettamanti, Zoe Meagher, Wes Dowling, Matthew Newkirk, Susan Forrester, I dream in RGB aka Andrea Draper, Autumn Tansy, Ry Wilkin, Steven Rhall, Rubbed Genie, Glyn Urguhart with collaborating artist Peter Waples Crowe, Brody Xarhakos, Sonny O’Brien, James Raftopoulos, Kirsten Lyttle, Maia Kjendle, Angela McNiece and H.Mur.
