JENNA ERIKSEN
VOLATILIS
SITE #10
Volatilis explores the journey of heartbreak, growth and rebirth through the visual metaphor of a volatile landscape. Featuring deaf Australian contemporary dancer Anna Seymour, Volatilis questions the displacement and disruption of natural landscapes and will be reflected against the urban environment of Gertrude Street. Highlighted by the incongruity of a human form within the sparse and alien landscape depicted, Volatilis seeks to create a cathartic response to traversing emotions through space. Informed by a sense of connection, affinity and turangawaewae to place.
